Abubakr, the owner of the shop told us that this forfathers used to work for the Royal Family of Lucknow back in the day. About a 100 years ago the family moved out and started selling biryani on the streets of Lucknow. Today Idrees' Biryani is a favorite among the locals, so much so that it sells in Quintals not kilos.
